Photo redaction definition
Photo redaction is the process of permanently hiding identifying details in still images, most commonly faces and license plates, so that people cannot be recognized. It is used when images are published, shared with third parties, or provided in response to a data-access request, and where everyone except the subject must be protected.
Unlike a simple visual effect, proper redaction is irreversible. Gallio PRO detects faces and plates in photos automatically and applies an irreversible mask, with a selective mode for fine control.
